light waves
Electromagnetic radiation in the middle third of the electromagnetic spectrum, between the short wavelength third (X-rays) and the long wavelength third (radio waves). They range from 4 to 1 million nanometers (1 millimeter) and include ultraviolet light (4 to 400 nanometers), visible light (400 to 750 nanometers), and infrared (750 to 1 million nanometers).
