anticyclonic
Rotation around a center of curvature that is opposite the rotation of the Earth. In the Northern (Southern) Hemisphere anticyclonic circulation is clockwise (counterclockwise). In the atmosphere, anticyclonic circulations are associated with regions of high pressure and fair weather.
